Looking over the filled pews to the altar at the Hatsubon service at Jikoen in 2017

Jikoen Sangha Family Service is typically conducted every Sunday at 9:00 a.m., led by Reverend Nishiyama or Minister’s Lay Assistants. All are welcome to attend.

At these services, members sing praises to the Buddha and of their commitment to the Buddha, Dharma (the teachings), and the Sangha (community of followers). Services also include the Nembutsu Meditation, sutra chanting, the minister’s message, and singing of gathas.

Weekly services are a warm and welcoming place and time to be with fellow Dharma travelers. Refreshments after the service offer an opportunity to meet with members.
