I was always proud of Jikoen’s andagi. We were the first to make them at public gatherings. Although our equipment was crude and old-fashioned, we made the best andagi. Ever since Jikoen started it, today, many organizations are offering them as one of their best-sellers.
I also enjoyed being a part of the Fujinkai. We had lots of fun participating in many activities. I remember the play, “Momotaro” or “Peach Boy” in which Mrs. Fumiko Miyasato, Mrs. Aki Kohatsu, Mrs. Haruko Yamasato and others each had a role.
Jikoen was always a source of spiritual comfort to me.
